Faster charging is possible with a "wallbox" – a quick-charging station that you can fit in your garage. The battery will be fully charged again in just an hour if the vehicle is equipped with a 22 kW charger. If you drive around 50 kms a day the battery can be fully charged in around 3 hrs.

A: The battery is positioned in the underfloor below the seats, which doesn't encroach on the interior space at all. No compromises are made with regard to comfort, space or safety when compared to the gasoline powered smart fortwo.
